With us, there is no mold you have to fit into. Everyone in the team has the oppor­tunity to develop according to their individual interests and pace!

We are firmly convinced that you are only truly good at what you do with great passion. How do we specif­i­cally support you in this? Through a regular and systematic feedback process that helps you reflect. A personal devel­opment advisor (PDA) accom­panies you through this process and jointly develops your individual devel­opment plan with you. This way, you can specif­i­cally work on the topics that advance you personally and, conse­quently, us. We support you through an individual and tailor-made package, e.g., shadowing/sparring in diverse projects, our internal Academy, coaching, or external measures.

Any questions?

What does the career path as a consultant look like?

In our initial get-to-know-you conver­sa­tions, we gain an under­standing of your background regarding experience and profes­sional as well as personal compe­tencies. We then discuss with you at which level we see an entry point within our team – from entry as a Consultant to Senior Consultant, Managing Consultant, Senior Managing Consultant, Director, up to Senior Director, we offer a range of entry and devel­opment oppor­tu­nities. And all of this is completely trans­parent – so you know which compe­tencies should be met at each level and what devel­opment path with what time horizon you can expect at elaboratum.

I’ve never been a consultant. Should I still apply?

Absolutely! The majority of our consul­tants do not come from a tradi­tional consulting background but from an agency or corporate context. And that is very valuable, because we work with our clients at eye level, and it is extremely helpful to have already experi­enced corporate struc­tures.

What can I earn at elaboratum?

We operate with a trans­parent career devel­opment process that is linked to regular feedback, an individual devel­opment plan, and corre­sponding salary bands. Depending on your entry level with us, we will trans­par­ently discuss with you where you stand within the respective salary band and what further devel­opment within that level might look like.

What is your ideal consultant profile?

Honestly? We don’t have a specific ideal profile we’re looking for. Because with us, there isn’t one mold you have to fit into. Of course, as a consultant, you should be someone who always wants to develop further to stay one step ahead of client needs. Experience in e‑commerce and digital business should be present, as well as in project management.

However, it is much more important to us that we align in mindset. We are looking for proactive individuals and results-oriented people who enjoy creating and driving things forward from scratch. True to the motto: roll up your sleeves and shape elaboratum together.

Can I also develop my own topics at elaboratum?

Absolutely, and honestly, that is one of our core principles in the organi­zation: a mindset of proactive individuals who construc­tively provide feedback to challenge our organi­zation and our products, thereby advancing elaboratum.

We have laid the foundation for this in our structure, as we do not work in tradi­tional teams but organize ourselves through Circles, where respon­si­bil­ities are defined, but we do not operate according to a hierar­chical model. Instead, we rely on the knowledge, expertise, and initiative of each individual within the Circle. Everyone with us is therefore a co-creator – and this is completely independent of whether you work with us as a working student or Senior Director.

Our organi­za­tional structure also allows you to expand your horizons at any time and contribute beyond your immediate scope, in line with your personal devel­opment goals.

What is your under­standing of leadership?

In line with our organi­za­tional structure, we at elaboratum do not live by the tradi­tional model of a manager. We have defined respon­sible roles for our Circles, which assume a steering function for the respective Circle – this is completely independent of your level. Furthermore, we have the role of PDAs (Personal Devel­opment Advisors). This is a very central and important role for us, as it enables each of our consul­tants to receive personal devel­opment support. Essen­tially, as a PDA with us, you are the contact person for one or more consul­tants regarding their devel­opment at elaboratum. Our PDAs guide through a systematic feedback process, provide feedback and sparring in personal devel­opment planning, and challenge and support you in your self-reflection and in the selection of your project assign­ments.

How much do I have to/get to travel with you?

This question cannot be answered generally. In fact, travel activity is rather low, and most project activ­ities take place remotely.

How many projects do your consul­tants typically work on simul­ta­ne­ously?

This question cannot be answered generally and varies greatly depending on the profes­sional profile and phases. On average, however, our consul­tants work on approx­i­mately 3 projects.
