Silicon Personas Explained Briefly

Silicon Personas are AI-powered simula­tions of your customers. They combine socio-demographic data, psycho­logical traits (Big Five), behav­ioral patterns, and real-time data from macro­eco­nomic and micro­eco­nomic factors — such as interest rate trends, unemployment rates, or news sentiment — to predict how real people would decide. They are not real people, but they behave as if they were.

Silicon Personas are not static “digital twins” created from AI-generated prompts that can only be questioned in a chat window. They utilize a highly complex behav­ioral pipeline that links psycho­metric profiles with up-to-the-minute market data such as unemployment rates or news sentiment. Instead of merely gener­ating text, our learning system simulates the proba­bility of customer decisions under constantly changing condi­tions. This provides you with a tool that grows with the complexity of reality and refines itself with every new data source.

Silicon Personas in Depth

Where does the term Silicon Personas come from?

The name is derived from the scien­tific practice “in silico.” While tradi­tional research methods often take place in vitro (in the lab) or in vivo (on a living subject), in silico describes exper­i­ments conducted using highly complex computer simula­tions.

Our Silicon Personas use exactly this approach: instead of merely surveying customers, we simulate their actual decision-making processes in a digital environment. This allows us to predict market reactions precisely, quickly, and by incor­po­rating up-to-the-minute factors. Silicon Personas are the modern, scien­tif­i­cally sound evolution of the tradi­tional persona.

How does the creation process work?

We use a “data-to-person” approach. We aggregate your existing customer data (CRM, tracking) with scien­tific studies and our PsyCon­version® library. We feed this data into high-end LLMs using “In-Context Learning” (ICL) in a data-protection-compliant manner, without the need for extensive training.

Where does the data come from?

The “black box” of customer decision-making is filled by three dimen­sions: person­ality (Big Five), decision context, and behav­ioral patterns (PsyCon­version®). This is supple­mented by real-time macro­eco­nomic data and your specific company data.

How accurate are the results?

Since we eliminate biases caused by “bad data” (bots, inattentive survey partic­i­pants), Silicon Personas offer high consis­tency. They are an innovation engine that provides quali­tative trends and “why” expla­na­tions that are often missing in quanti­tative data.

How are the results presented?

The results are prepared to optimally suit your respective purpose — whether as a detailed market research report for sound strategic decisions or as direct feedback in agentic workflows, such as for automated content optimization. You receive an aggre­gated analysis for specific questions.
